RSS Bread of Life

  • Uzziah, son of Amaziah, becomes King of Judah. Uzziah defeats the Philistines. However, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18)
  • Amaziah, son of Joash, reigns over Judah. Amaziah kills the servants who have killed his father. After enjoying victory in battle, Amaziah makes offerings to false gods. Israel defeats Amaziah and Judah.
