Bread of Life Daily Bible Readings

RSS Bread of Life

  • David used this psalm to celebrate the victorious bringing of the ark of the covenant into Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 16). Later the Judeans used this psalm to celebrate the rebuilding of the temple following the Babylonian captivity.
  • The inspired writer records a genealogy of the Israelites who returned to Jerusalem following the Babylonian captivity. Then he returns to the genealogy of Saul.
