Bread of Life Daily Bible Readings

RSS Bread of Life

  • The psalmist declares the power of the Lord and His glorious rule over all creation. When all people stand before almighty God, everyone will experience either terrified humiliation or joyful thanksgiving.
  • David used this psalm to celebrate the victorious bringing of the ark of the covenant into Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 16). Later the Judeans used this psalm to celebrate the rebuilding of the temple following the Babylonian captivity.
