RSS Bread of Life

  • Josiah, son of Amon, becomes King of Judah. Josiah is faithful to the Lord. Hilkiah the priest discovers the Book of the Law and sends it to Josiah. Huldah the prophetess prophesies disaster on Judah. Josiah reads the Book of the Law to all the people and reforms Judah according to the Word of the Lord.
  • Manasseh, son of Hezekiah, becomes King of Judah. Unlike his father before him, Manasseh leads the people into idolatry. Manasseh repents of his idolatry and commands the people to serve the Lord only. Manasseh dies and Amon, his son, becomes King of Judah. Amon is unfaithful to the Lord. His servants assassinate him.
